End-of-year auditions
End-of-year auditions take the form of recitals at which pupils showcase the progress they have made over the course of the year.They will take place at Château Jourdain, 48 Avenue Dezangré, Kraainem, and at the Foyer Culturel, 3 Avenue des Sorbiers, Kraainem. The recitals are open to the public.
Insurance
Cap sur la Musique’s liability is limited to activities taking place during lessons and under the supervision of teachers. This risk is covered by insurance. However, journeys to and from the school and home are not covered.
Music theory
Music theory is strongly recommended, but not compulsory. Classes at various levels are offered on Wednesday afternoons and take place in the Agora.
Parents
A waiting room is available in the Agora Hall and at the Foyer Culturel. Thank you for leaving the student alone with their teacher.
Attendance
Regular attendance at lessons is essential. If a pupil is unable to attend, we ask them (or their parents) to notify the teacher no later than the day before the lesson. If a pupil is absent, the lesson will generally not be rescheduled. We ask parents who drive their children to school to please ensure that the teacher is present before leaving the school. If the teacher is absent, the lesson will be rescheduled later in the year.
Issues
Communication or teaching difficulties may arise. If you feel uncomfortable, or if a problem arises, please speak to the teacher immediately. If you do so, we ask that you keep an eye on the timetable so as not to disrupt the next student’s lesson. We (Kristina and Ariane) are, of course, available to help if the issue persists.
