Music theory and solfège classes are not compulsory but are strongly recommended. They enable music students and anyone wishing to uncover some of the secrets of music to learn musical notation through reading music and working on rhythm, as well as developing their ear and their voice. The course also enables students to explore certain aspects of musical harmony and its development throughout the history of different musical periods.
