World Music: This course requires no prior experience of playing an instrument and is open to all ages. You can choose to delve deeper into learning a single instrument, or try your hand at a variety of unusual instruments: spoons, the mbira, the ukulele, the doudouk… there’s something for everyone.
Orchestra: This ensemble explores a wide-ranging repertoire. The teacher tailors the arrangements to suit the group, adapting the material to suit all levels, from beginners to more advanced students. To encourage ensemble playing, this course is offered by the school and is free of charge for students!
Chamber music: These classes are available to students who already have a basic technical foundation on their instrument. Groups are formed based on demand. For these groups, rehearsals are mainly conducted among the students themselves. Instrument teachers can host the groups during a group member’s lesson time, in place of their individual lesson. At no extra cost!
